Neil Weinstein

Neil Weinstein, partner at Weinstein Law, practices in all areas of criminal law, specializing in some of the most serious offences.

Following the receipt of his Bachelor of Arts from York University in 1993, Neil graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1994, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996.

Once called to the bar, Neil worked as criminal counsel in Toronto, and as an assistant Crown Attorney in North York, Ontario, before relocating to Ottawa and forming Weinstein Law with his partner, Anne London-Weinstein in 2003.

Passionate about providing his clients with the best possible defence in Ottawa, and the surrounding East Region, Neil practices in all levels of court, registering many acquittals and stays of proceedings in some very serious cases. One of his most noteworthy cases include working on the Cumberland Case with his partner Anne London-Weinstein, which is noted as Canada's longest running and most expensive criminal trial, which resulted in a stay of proceedings.

In addition, Neil is also a member of the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa (DCAO).
